Successful Social Media Campaign Lands Ideal Cover of InTents Magazine’s 2019 Buyers’ Guide

Sioux Falls, SD: After a spirited week-long social media “battle” that began the morning of November 26th and ended when the clock struck 5 pm on Friday, November 30th, Ideal Wedding & Events has landed the cover of InTents Magazine’s annual Buyers’ Guide for 2019! The exciting adventure began earlier this Fall, when Ideal submitted ten images of past tent set ups to the InTents team for consideration. With more than 100 images from dozens of tent companies throughout the country and world submitted, Ideal was notified on Monday the 26th by the InTents team that one of their images had been chosen as a finalist. The image selected was from an October 2017 wedding held on the waterfront of the Sioux City Marina that was captured by Liz Banfield Photography, Inc. The beautiful event was designed and produced by the team at Lovestruck Events, with florals by Bouquet Omaha and tent lighting by Sioux Falls DJ Jer. Ideal provided the featured 59’ x 119’ Tidewater Sailcloth Tent, as well as white resin ceremony chairs and a white dance floor for the event.

Once notified along with the two other finalists (Moreton Hire Marquee, based out of Queensland, Australia and The Greenwich Tent Co., located in Bridgeport, Connecticut), Ideal was tasked with rallying fans and followers on Facebook to earn the most “interactions” (likes, loves, wows, or comments all counted as votes) on our respective tent image by the week’s end. The competition was fierce, particularly with the friendly folks at The Greenwich Tent Co., who waged an impressive campaign of their own. Though Ideal took an early lead initially, The Greenwich Tent Co. came back with a vengeance, and the leaderboard had to be continuously adjusted throughout the week. When the dust settled on Friday evening, The Greenwich Tent Co. had tallied 416 likes/loves/wows, and 294 comments, and Ideal Wedding & Events claimed victory with 474 likes/loves/wows and 319 comments.

Ideal was notified and officially congratulated on their win by the InTents Magazine team on December 7th. The 2019 Buyers’ Guide will be in publication and available in circulation this coming February.
